First of all, baby wipes are AWESOME. It's nice to always have them with you in the diaper bag for whenever you need them. You will be amazed how many wipes you go through!
When Abbie Mae was "baking," Jon and I would purchase diapers and wipes when they were on sale and we had coupons, we stuck mainly with pampers wipes, but if huggies were on sale, we got those too.
So here are my opinion on wipes. Unless your baby has sensitive skin do not get the sensitive wipes. They are not as thick as the other wipes and have a very weird texture. A thick wipe is a good wipe. Huggie wipes are very thick, but aren't very moist. A moist wipe is a good wipe (especially for poops). So my favorite wipes so far are the regular pamper wipes, I think they are called baby fresh. They are very moist and thick, the perfect combination.
So those are my random thoughts of the day! :)
I guess I better go ahead and start stocking up now! My mom said I should also stock up on diapers, but I'm afraid to because Sean was such a big baby (almost 11 lbs.!).
ReplyDeleteI would recommend that you get two packs of each size (1-3). They will send you home with some newborn diapers, Abbie Mae only wore them for a little bit and they came in small packs, so I would only get one pack of those. You will probably get some at your shower. Also, Abbie Mae was 9.2 lbs and couldn't wear some of her newborn clothes, and the few that she could wear, she only wore for like 2 weeks. I would get the 0-3 months.
ReplyDeleteWe've been getting 0-3 when we buy stuff. I think my mom even got like a 3-6 months outfit for the baby. We got him/her some adorable slippers yesterday, and they're 0-6 months. Was Abbie Mae able to wear slippers/booties made for babies 0-3? I just don't want to have a bunch of stuff the baby can't wear.
